[BOOK REVIEW] Essentialism - Greg McKeown

"Greg McKeown teaches you how to discipline your life and take the reins of your life in your own hands."

So do you think that you can't get the most out of your life? Or perhaps you are unable to get the satisfactory result compared to the efforts you're putting in? Have you ever found yourself struggling with information overload? Or do feel overworked and underutilized? Well if these make you say "Hey! That's me" then search no more. Greg McKeown, CEO of a Leadership and Strategy agency in Silicon Valley brings you his latest book 'essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less', In this book he teaches you how to discipline your life and take the reins of your life in your own hands.

For me, this book was marvellous, though I am not much a reader of self-help books (all I've read up till now is The subtle art of not giving a f*ck by Mark Manson and Srimad Bhagwat Gita), the description was quite alluring, it read, Have you ever found yourself struggling with information overload?, Have you ever felt both overworked and underutilised, Do you ever feel busy but not productive? Well, I answered 'yes' to all of them. I am always busy, right from the morning to the night, studying, writing, reading and at the end of the day I felt incredibly tired and often both emotionally and physically burned out, but I never received the result which I expected and compared to the amount of work I'd put in it would often dishearten me. Then one day I found this book in my feed recommendations and I was like 'yeah why not, let's try it' and I must admit it changed the way I think and perceive the situations around me. The author uses daily-life inspired examples (which I have no idea if they are true events or mere fictional examples penned by the author) but it made me understand what and why I need to change something. Though I try not to mention what written in the book (that would be plagiarism) but as the author calls it 'essentialism' will totally change your life, it will make you productive by changing your lifestyle and modifying the way you perceive and approach a situation.

Highly recommended by me!
